Safer internet day 2013
Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, on February 5th , Safer Internet Day (SID) 2013 is coming! SID is a worldwide event that gets over 90 countries together with one main objective: to promote a safer internet for our children and young people.
The LEGO Group supports this event and in line with this year’s Safer Internet Day theme “Online rights and responsibilities,” the LEGO Group’s constant ambition is to make LEGO.com an inclusive, fun and creative online destination: a place for LEGO fans of any age to safely take advantage of the internet’s unique opportunities to share in the LEGO experience.
While our youngest fans may not even be aware that we’re looking after them in our virtual playground, parents have rightly come to expect these extraordinarily high safety standards from the LEGO Company.
Our company’s founder, Ole Kirk Christiansen, had a motto that says it all:

Master the Techniques of LEGO® Design and Building!
With LEGO® Master Builder Academy, kids learn new techniques in Designer Handbooks with tips from real LEGO Master Builders! Building challenges encourage kids to design and build their own original creations using new techniques. Kits include access to LEGOmba.com, a child-safe, members-only website where kids can share their creations and get feedback from other young builders. Each kit includes: An exclusive LEGO set with alternate builds, a Designer Handbook full of enhanced steps and inspiration, and access to online content and activities.
