			20 Feb 2007 LEGO products among archaeological finds A new children’s exhibition is about to see the light of day in Cairo, Egypt. Guests at the official opening are expected to include Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, wife of the Egyptian president, and Dr. Zahi Hawass, Egypt’s foremost archaeologist.
	Interest in the LEGO models has arisen because they have been placed side by side with archaeological finds from Ancient Egypt. There are 19 models in the LEGO collection from the display “Secrets of the Pharaohs”, and these will become part of the permanent exhibition – thanks to co‑operation between the LEGO Group, the Royal Danish Embassy in Egypt, and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Pharaohs and pyramids When children and adults from all over the world enter the new exhibition, they will see a whole universe of pharaohs, reliefs, deities, pyramids and much more – all of it built from LEGO bricks. “The LEGO figures will be shown against a setting of genuine archaeological finds. Everything has been correctly created – like the real thing. People who know about these things are really impressed,” says Simon Stansfield Bast, who is responsible for a number of LEGO distributor markets, including Africa.
