LEGO.com Parents News : Masterpieces on display at BrickFest exhibition

			25 Apr 2007 LEGO Fan Masterpieces at BrickFest 07! 214 Adult Fans of LEGO signed up for this year’s BrickFest that was held earlier this month in Portland Oregon. More that 1,000 LEGO models - from trains over BIONICLE to a complete collection of every space-set ever produced - were showcased by LEGO fans.
	LEGO ART AUCTION ”One of the main events that the BrickFest team put together with the assistance of the LEGO Community team was an approximately 4’ x 8’ Van Gogh mosaic that will be auctioned off for charity,” said the US Community Relations Coordinator Steven Witt. During the festival the LEGO fans were challenged on their building talents and skills to think creatively: “The event included the first ever LEGO BrickMaster Build off where the event attendees were challenged to rebuild one of their favorite LEGO sets in a new and exciting way,” says Steven Witt and adds: “The event was there to focus on the relationships that the Adult Fans of LEGO have built up with one another and that keep them excited about coming together at these sorts of events.”
